Almost 1,000 visited the annual Darlington and District Orchid Society Show at The White Horse Hotel, Darlington, at the weekend.
Each visitor was asked to vote for their favourite orchid in the show and the winner was a bloom grown by one of the society's founder members Tom Watson, who won the prize last year.
Another prize was awarded to Elizabeth Fiddaway for her exhibits.
Mr Watson said: "It was an excellent weekend and we attracted a lot of visitors.
"Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the exhibits went down very well."
