A DUSTBIN derby and giant snakes and ladders were just some of the games enjoyed by pupils in Hartlepool.
About 140 children from St Aidan's, Rift House, St Theresa's and Owton Manor primary schools took part in the Hartlepool Environmental Roundabout at the town's Education Development Centre on Wednesday.
The event was run by Hartlepool Borough Council's environmental standards team.
Emma Tierney, the council's health development officer, said: "The aim of the event was to give the children a chance to learn about different aspects of the environment and how it can affect their health in a series of scenarios."
In addition to the council, other organisations involved in the event included Cleveland Police, HM Coastguard and Tees Smoking Cessation Service.
