BUDDING film-makers from across the North-East have had a taste of life behind the cameras.
More than 100 youngsters spent a day at Tyne Tees Television in Newcastle.
The event was part of the Royal Television Society Young People's Video Festival, which encourages children and students to produce short films.
A show reel of the best films was screened at the event and the winners received certificates from weatherman Bob Johnson and Kim Inglis, of North East Tonight.
The event, sponsored by the University of Teesside, featured talks and presentations by South Tyneside animator Sheila Graber, Tyne Tees News presenter Andrew Friend and the managing director of Tyne Tees Television, Margaret Fay.
Youngsters also had the chance to see digital editing suites and learn about the use of computers in the transmission of programmes.
