SCARBOROUGH and Ryedale's tourist industry could be in line for a boost as a result of an initiative by English Heritage.
The Government's conservation agency is joining hotels and holiday attraction operators to bring more visitors to the town by inviting tour company bosses to the area.
Buyers will tour Scarborough, Pickering, Castle Howard, Flamingo Lane and Malton as part of the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast Group Travel Showcase.
Regional marketing manager Nicola Bexon said "We believe we can generate a lot of real interest among key decision makers in the tour industry by bringing them to Scarborough and North Yorkshire."
