THE death of actor Adam Faith at the weekend has left the future of a play, due in the region next week, in doubt.
Faith, who appeared at the Billingham Forum in the 1960s, was due to perform at the Civic Theatre, in Darlington next week.
The touring production of Donald Churchill's play Love and Marriage, in which he was to have starred, was due to start a five-night run at the Civic Theatre on Tuesday, March 25,.
It was after appearing in the show in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, on Friday night that he was taken ill and died of a heart attack.
Last night, no one was available at the Civic Theatre to discuss what would now happen to the play.
In the 1960s, when Faith was playing in the region, he rented a house in Hartlepool and enjoyed playing golf in the area.
