A LAW firm is holding a series of free breakfast presentations to tell local businesses about impending changes in employment law.
The events, this month and next, have been designed to help employers and employees understand the new laws coming into force on April 6.
The first seminar is at SW Durham Training, in Newton Aycliffe, on Thursday.
Subsequent events will be held at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on March 20, Darlington College at Catterick on March 27, Middlesbrough Football Club on April 10, and Morton Park Training Centre on April 15.
Nick Poole, partner at Darlington-based Latimer Hinks, said: "Employment laws passed since 1997 have cost industry £22bn and employers spend an average of nine hours per week dealing with new legislation.
"By attending these free presentations we are hoping to reduce these figures and give businesses the chance to plan for the changes sensibly and in advance."
Each presentation will run from 8.30am until 9.40am with breakfast free. For more information, please contact Andrea Tobin on (01325) 341507.
