A BLIND woman was burgled by two bogus builders - who also charged her for work they had not done.
She paid them believing they had fixed her aerial after they knocked on her door offering help, and they then stole her purse which contained a large amount of cash.
Last night, police said they wanted to talk to anyone who may have seen the men in Nightingale Road, Eston, Middlesbrough, between 10.45am and 11.45am on Monday. A grey van with ladders on the roof was seen in the area.
Detective Constable Peter Clifford said: "The victim has sought to overcome the disability of having no sight and you could not think of a more callous crime.
"The men may have called nearby touting for work and it is vital that we speak to these people."
Two men have been arrested but police still need people to come forward to help.
Anyone with information is asked to call (01642) 302020.
