BUILDING and support services group Mowlem has hailed a structural overhaul of its own for a 16 per cent increase in annual profits.
The group, which has a regional presence on Teesside, said a "root-and-branch" change in its approach to new business, moving away from traditional contracts - now only 39 per cent of total orders - to longer-term arrangements with customers, had helped lift underlying profits to £54m. Chairman Charles Fisher said the new emphasis on orders included contracts with a mix of construction and support services work.
