A MUSIC label promoting talent in Darlington is staging two concerts this month.
Steve Browne, 27, and Chris Elgie, 23, set up Originate Recordings, believed to be the North-East's first non-profit- making record label, last year with the help of the Prince's Trust.
The pair have produced an album, called Underground North-East, which is being sold in eight independent record shops in Darlington.
The concerts will take place at the Tap and Spile pub in Bondgate, Darlington.
The first, on Thursday, March 20, at 8pm, will feature computer-based sequencing from artists, including Origin8, Ningerfails, Gylow and We Are, with a live performance from C Jack and Monsoon. The second, on Thursday, March 27, also at 8pm, features guitar-based artists including Astoma, Offbeats, Unlearn and Nemain. All artists are Darlington-based and on the Originate label.
Mr Browne said: "We are getting more high-profile now and these events are to celebrate the talent we have in Darlington."
