LOWER sixth form drama students are preparing to serve up a helping of comedy next month when they perform Victoria Wood's Dinnerladies.
It is the first public performance by the group, from Stokesley School, Stokesley, and will go towards each student's AS-level grade.
Drama teacher Rob Clilverd has adapted four episodes of the hit series. The episodes that will be performed are Monday, Scandal, Party and Moods.
The group has spent many hours rehearsing for the show, which will be on April 9 and 10, and wanted to use a set that would be unique to the performance, with stage walls, kitchen appliances and a floor design to make it seem like a real canteen.
Tickets will be available from the end of March, from Stokesley School. Prices start at £2 concessions and £3 for adults.
Drinks and biscuits will be served by the performers during the interval.
