A TEENAGE history student is urging like-minded people with a passion for the past to help him set up a group.
Adam Guy, from Gilmonby, near Barnard Castle, is studying for A-levels at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Darlington.
His particular interest is in history and he is now looking to set up a club for people to meet and discuss their favourite topics, and invite guest speakers to give presentations.
The 17-year-old is also studying A-level politics, English language and general studies and is hoping to go on to study history at St Andrew's University after he finishes his courses.
Adam is seeking fellow history lovers to meet in the Barnard Castle area on a regular basis. He also wants to provide opportunities for visits to places of interest as well as book and film reviews.
He said: "Whatever you are interested in, whether it's Julius Caesar, the world wars, Tudors and Stuarts, the Ottoman Empire or any other aspect of history, being part of this group could be for you."
Adam's study of 16th Century history has further fuelled his desire to be involved in research and debate.
Anyone wishing to join the group or to find out more can contact Adam on (01833) 628221 or 0773-273 4300.
