FORMER Hear'Say star Suzanne Shaw will return to the limelight in a show being staged in the region.
The singer, who joined the band as a winner of the Popstars television show, will play her first major role since the act split up, in Summer Holiday, appearing at Newcastle's Theatre Royal.
As pop starlet Bobby, she runs away from her showbiz lifestyle disguised as a boy.
The show also stars Stefan Booth, who played Jamie in Hollyoaks, Christopher Biggins, and Aimi MacDonald, who is best known as the blonde bombshell in The Avengers, The Saint and The World of Shirley MacLaine.
Summer Holiday, famous as a film starring Cliff Richard, features hits including Summer Holiday, Bachelor Boy and Livin' Doll.
It runs at the Theatre Royal from Monday to Saturday, May 5 and 10, and tickets are available from the box office on 0870 905 5060.
