It's back to the reality tent after three heady days of Cheltenham - but there looks to be a couple of decent betting opportunities on the Polytrack at Lingfield.
The most appealing bet at the Surrey venue looks to be Tony Newcombe's The Best Yet, who has created a very favourable impression on this surface and he should go well in division one of the Bet Direct On ITV Page 367 Handicap over six furlongs.
The five-year-old hasn't much mileage on the clock for his age and kept up his unbeaten record on Polytrack with a smooth victory over course and distance last time.
Although five pounds higher in the handicap this time, he's certainly capable of much better and is a confident choice to beat Northern raider Only One Legend.
Newcombe told me earlier in the week: "He's best on quick ground so this surface is ideal for him and he's certainly in very good order at present. He's one of the very few in this grade with the ability to really quicken up and I'd be very hopeful of a good run.''
Gary Moore has had his team in fine fettle this year and he can be on the mark with Orthodox in the betdirect.co.uk Handicap and with Snuki in the Bet Direct On Channel 4 Page 613 Handicap.
The former has been hiked in the weights following a runaway success over a mile and a half in a decent handicap last time but, as that was only his fifth career outing, there's a good chance that there is better to come.
Snuki bounced back to form over a mile and a quarter here last time but has won over this lesser trip this winter and has the first time blinkers to gee him up as well as the assistance of top claimer and trainers son Ryan Moore.
Moore also takes the reins on Madrassee in division two of the six furlong handicap and the combination are fancied to go close now she's back over her best trip. Jawhari looks the chief threat.
Andrew Balding has also made a highly promising start to training in his own right and his Emerald Fire takes the eye in the Littlewoods Bet Direct Classified Stakes over seven furlongs.
The filly won on her AW debut after a break over 6f at this course last time but her breeding and style of racing strongly suggests she should be at least as effective over this trip. She looks to hold good claims at today's weights.
Over the sticks at Warwick, Cassia Green looks interesting back on a left handed course in the Systimax SCS Handicap over two miles. Heather Dalton's lightly raced sort didn't look the easiest of rides at Leicester last time but the switch to this course will help and that latest run has already thrown up a couple of winners.
