KNARESBOROUGH is pressing ahead with plans to create a performance area to mark the Queen's Jubilee in one of its tourist hot-spots.
A site near to Knaresborough Castle and the former bandstand has been earmarked.
In a bid to move the scheme forward, members of a working group have arranged for talks to be held with castle owners the Duchy of Lancaster, architects Harrogate Borough Council, and other interested parties.
Ever since Knaresborough lost its bandstand a decade ago, there have been moves to establish an area for entertainment in the castle grounds.
The pavilion has been designed in stainless steel and aluminium and is said to capture a medieval mood.
