A North-East riverbank development has been generating worldwide inquiries.
Akenside's newly-appointed sales consultant, Lynne Machin, has been taking inquiries from prospective purchasers as far afield as Singapore, India and Germany for the project in Sunderland.
The first phase of the development at St Peter's Wharf on the north bank of the Wear consists of 60 Manhattan-style loft apartments and a caf/bar restaurant.
Ms Machin, from Cleadon in Sunderland, said: "The majority of inquiries to date have been from young professionals and couples whose families have flown the nest and are looking for a lifestyle change."
More than half the properties in the first phase have been sold.
A total of 32 reservations were taken at the recent launch of Akenside's marketing suite at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland.
In order to ensure that each loft is different, buyers will work closely with Akenside's design team. On completion, the proposed four-phase development will consist of 240 Manhattan-style loft apartments, a number of caf/bar restaurants and offices.
