A NEW taster course being run by Stockton Borough Council is making use of digital technology.
The five-week course, which is being run at the Albany Resource Centre, in Norton, is just one of the spin-off courses from the 123 Digital Media courses that have been running since September last year.
The course allows participants to create T-shirts, cushion covers and anything else that is cotton based by importing images from scanners and digital cameras that can be turned into iron-on designs. The only thing participants need is an interest in IT.
No qualifications are needed as the course covers an introduction to the digital equipment that will be used.
The course has also received backing from local businesses with the Asda store in Stockton providing 50 T-shirts.
Other taster courses available are web page design, scanning and digital photography and video.
Anyone interested in attending one of the courses is asked to contact (01642) 605683 or (01642) 732484.
