A SCHOOLGIRL from Teesside is competing in an international ice skating event.
Cloe Taylor, from Billingham, is to take part in the Mladost Trophy on Thursday, as part of the British team.
Cloe, aged 12, is a member of the Junior British Development Squad of Great Britain and will be travelling to Austria to train at the Olympic Village before moving on to Croatia to compete in the tournament.
She has been training with her ice skating coach Catherine McCabe at Billingham Forum, since she was four years old and has competed in numerous tournaments throughout Britain.
Cloe regularly takes part in training sessions before school, every weekend and every evening.
The schoolgirl also has three dance lessons a week at the Lena Whitelocke School of Dance, in Hartlepool.
When she returns from Austria, Cloe will begin training to take part in the British Championships next month, when she will be competing against the best in Britain.
