POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man was stabbed in a town centre attack.
The man was one of three men targeted by a ten-strong gang early at 12.15am on Friday in the market place at Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
He was taken to the town's general hospital but was released after treatment.
A police spokesman said the attackers got out of a white taxi van and went over to the trio, who were standing outside the Sportsman Inn. A knife was later found nearby.
