NEW TEAMS: Chester-le-Street Town FC will be running two Under-18 teams and one Under-19 team next season. The club, who's senior team play in the Albany Northern League First Division, are on the look out for some new members for the junior club's playing side management team. Interested candidates should contact manager, Andrew Muxworthy, on (0191) 3703998 or via the football club on (0191) 3883363 as soon as possible.
The club have once again confirmed their entry to the prestigious FA Youth Cup, having had a successful run this season. The Juniors eventually got knocked out after four rounds, going down 2-1 to Hartlepool United Youths after extra-time.
Two of the Juniors signed youth team contracts with professional clubs as a direct result of their excellent starts to the season. Striker Danny Graham, 17, secured a two year deal with Middlesbrough whilst midfielder Daniel Newby, secured a two-year deal with Stockport County.
ALL-ALLIANCE FINAL: Two teams from The Durham Alliance, Brandon Station and Sporting Club Sunderland, compete in The Durham County Trophy Final on Monday, March 17 (7pm) at Durham City's ground, the Archibald Stadium.
