Two fixtures with the four clubs vying for League honours, Shildon Elm Road WMC entertained Stillington The Royal, it was a shame we had a loser in what was a very good game, but as things often turn out this does not always happen, Royal took an interval lead through Simon Hares, Carl Dawson levelled the score early in the second, it took an individual effort from Paul Weir to seal the points for The Royal, both keepers had outstanding games.
In the other fixture Darlington RA Youth visited Darlington The Mowden, Craig Adamson and Darren Kokes shot Youth into the lead but with half-time approaching Gary Varty pulled one back from a corner kick, the scoreline stayed thus until seven minutes from time when Adamson latched onto a ball in the centre circle to break away and slot it passed the keeper and make the points safe for RA Youth.
Hurworth Otter & Fish had things their own way against Darlington Skerne Park who although outplayed never stopped trying, credit goes to their keeper for keeping the score down to ten, it was James Edwards who led the scoring with four, a couple went to Chris Bellwood with one apiece for Jonathan Edwards, Graham Wedge and Jonathan Bell, Andy West rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot.
Aycliffe Saints came away from their visit to Darlington G.S.O.B. with a six-three victory to keep them on course with the top of the table clubs, Jonathan Craig and Ben Hall both hit a brace with Micheal and Richard Cave scoring the other two.
