The body of a man pulled from the River Tees at the weekend has been identified as that of a 60-year-old man who went missing a month ago.
John Hanley, of Thornaby Road, Thornaby, had not been seen by his family since Monday, February 17.
Believed to have been in a depressed state of mind when he went missing, Mr Hanley's body was recovered from the River Tees on Saturday afternoon.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
