Saturday's performance wasn't one of our best of the season, but we came out with three valuble points and everyone will agree that it is the most important thing at this time of the season.
Obviously we would like to play great football every week, but sometimes it is just not possible and you have to grind out a result.
We have a very hard week with two away games, both of which are long journeys. This is very tiring for players and the fans. It is important that we get points out of both these games. The game against Wrexham tonight should be very exciting with both teams having a lot to play for, it will be nice to meet up with our old friend Andy Dibble, who was a very well-liked member of our squad a couple of years ago.
Newcastle have a massive game against Barcelona tomorrow, which will determine whether or not they progress in the Champions League. I hope they get the right result.
It was interesting to read Alan Shearer's comments on coming out of international retirement, I am sure all England fans would love to see this but maybe not all Newcastle fans, as his form since retiring has been sensational. He has thought about the decision hard and I'm sure knows he is doing the right thing.
