A MAN suffered a two-inch cut to his hand after refusing to surrender his bracelet to thieves.
The 21-year-old was walking in the Hawthorn Terrace area of Shotton Colliery, at about 5.15pm on Saturday, when he was approached by two youths.
They demanded his bracelet and when he refused, one of the males brandished a six-inch knife and asked for money. On his second refusal, the youth slashed him on the hand, inflicting a wound. The youths fled empty handed.
Both are described as white, aged about 16 and with local accents.
One was wearing a black woolly hat and light blue and grey sweat top. The other is described as 5ft 10in, with short ginger blonde hair. He was wearing a black padded jacket.
