APPEAL THANKS: Michael Manuel would like to thank the people who responded to the items in The Northern Echo last week regarding a copy of the 1959 FA Amateur Cup Final programme for Crook Town centre forward Brian Keating.
Arthur Mounsey, of Lister Terrace, Crook, kindly gave a programme to Mr Keating.
Mr Mounsey has a connection with Crook Town Football Club - two of his relatives represented the club in the 1920s.
RAMBLERS: The Crook and Weardale Ramblers enjoyed an 11-mile walk on Sunday. Starting from Langthwaite, they walked to Booze Moor, over the fells to Hurst, then Fremington Edge, before the descent back to Langthwaite. The next walk takes place on Sunday, March 30. GOLDEN WEDDING: Charlie and Nora Hall of Church Hill, Crook, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Friday, March 7, at The RAFA Club in Crook, and raised £190 for Cancer Research.
Mr Hall, 73, met his wife, now aged 70, at a square dance in the Masonic Hall, Crook.
Mr Hall is a keen supporter of Crook Football Club and Crook Cricket Club, while Mrs Hall helps with the teas at the cricket club.
ANNUAL MEETING: St Catherine's Community Association holds its annual meeting tonight, at 7pm, in Crook Community Centre.
COUNTRY MUSIC: Country and Western singer Brian Gibson will entertain at Crook Cricket Club tonight, admission £2.
