A COOKWARE company in Darlington has benefited from an £8,000 loan from a business fund.
Four Corners Food Service products, at Morton Park, Darlington, applied for the loan from the Falchion Fund, which provides loans for small businesses in the town.
Four Corners, which provides products including crockery, cutlery, glassware, cookware and utensils, was set up in August.
It secured short-term contracts with local business and achieved a healthy turnover in the four months to December.
At the end of last year, the business secured a one-year contract to supply Four Seasons health care, a chain of 320 care homes.
Four Corners Food Service has also received support from Darlington Borough Council, through the Financial Incentives Scheme, and the Darlington Into Work scheme.
The Falchion Fund is a partnership between the council, HSBC Bank and Darlington Business Venture.
