Pupils to be taken prisoner
Pupils at Risedale Community College will become prisoners when they take part in a Crime Awareness Day at Darlington College, Catterick, on Monday, March 31. More than 200 year nine students from Risedale College and from Bedale High School will benefit from a programme devised by police and other agencies, including the Prison-Me-No-Way Trust. The programme aims to steer youngsters away from crime.
DISABILITY AWARENESS: Darlington College at Catterick is holding a Disability Awareness Day on Friday between 10am and 2pm. Funded jointly by the Information, Advice and Guidance Network (IAG) and the local Learning and Skills Council, the day will provide information for the disabled, and raise awareness in the community about disability. CRAFT SALE: A craft and car boot sale will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 10am at Marne Barracks, to raise funds for the Marne Barracks Community Centre and The Mulberry Bush Pre-school group. Wall grant: A £500 grant has been awarded to restore the churchyard wall at St Michael's and All Angels, Hudswell, near Richmond. News of the money, approved by Yorkshire County Council's Richmondshire area committee, was welcomed by Hudswell Parish Council.
QUIZ NIGHT: Northallerton Town Cricket Club will host a quiz night in aid of Mental Health Support, on Friday, March 28 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 and include a pie and peas supper
