VOLUNTEERS are needed to help oversee Age Concern's efforts in County Durham.
The charity is seeking helpers to expand its board of trustees with the addition of up to six new members.
The charity's county headquarters is in Durham with five satellite premises round the county, each closely working with primary care trusts and social services offices.
Age Concern offers a range of services, including projects such as Ageing Well, a data link message-in-a-bottle scheme, plus "handy van" odd-job repairs, recently launched in Durham and Chester-le-Street areas.
Potential recruits need to be able to spare five hours a month; live in County Durham; and preferably possess skills such as leadership, IT, management or health and social care.
Anyone interested is asked to contact Allen Dobson, of Age Concern, on (01388) 763131.
