THE North-East's first re-enactment society depicting German troops are gearing up for a dance.
The World War Two Axis Re-enactment Society was established five months ago in Thornley, east Durham.
Created by Jon Whitehead and Stephen Rushton, the group appears at steam rallies, and holds mock battles on MoD land.
The group has been invited to a re-enactment dance at Hartlepool's Borough Hall on April 11, where members will join fellow enthusiasts from other North-East groups, such as the Headland Re-enactment Society.
The Re-enactment Dance, at Borough Hall, Hartlepool, is organised by the Headland Re-enactment Society and the Headland Development Company.
Tickets, which cost £5, can be obtained by calling (01429) 420302.
