A SURVEY is being carried out among the county's library users.
The North Yorkshire Library Service is already committed to meeting the community's needs, but it wants to establish what services are missing by encouraging people to fill in a questionnaire.
Coun John Dennis is the county council's executive member with responsibility for libraries.
He said: "Replies to the survey are very important and helpful to us since we are trying hard to improve the library service in North Yorkshire.
"Where possible, we want to meet the demands of the public and by completing the questionnaire people will help us do that."
The user survey will be conducted between Monday, March 24, and Saturday, March 29, at Catterick Garrison, Masham and Richmond and on the mobile library which calls at Leyburn.
