A HISTORY walk-and-talk will mark the opening of the Tom Leonard Mining Museum, at Skinningrove,on Sunday.
The six-mile walk will follow tracks used by miners and their families for 400 years, while a guide will discuss the history of the area.
The event has been organised just one week ahead of the opening of the museum for the summer season on Monday, March 31. As a pre-opening special the museum will be open to the public on Sunday, March 23, from 1pm, with reduced entrance charges.
To book a place on the walk, which sets off from the museum car park at 10.30am, call (01287) 642877. Adults will be charged £2 and children £1. Walkers should bring walking boots and a packed lunch.
