ACTIVITIES have been revealed for this year's Spring Thing folk festival in the region.
The 18th annual five-day music and dance festival will once again be hosted by Darlington Folk Club and Darlington Arts Centre.
It will take place from Wednesday to Sunday at venues around the town.
Throughout the festival there will be free dance and music workshops and craft sessions at the Arts Centre in Vane Terrace, as well as a bar run by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).
Volunteers from Camra will provide 45 real ales selected from North-East breweries for the musicians and dancers, as well as visitors to the Arts Centre.
They will also be serving up ciders and bottled beers, and will be launching a special limited edition beer, called Darlington Supporters' Trust.
The festival will start with a sing-around for young people organised by 15-year-old Emma Wisker.
Next Saturday, there will be a dancing procession from High Row to the Arts Centre, at 12.45pm,and the celebrations will end with a performance by Paul Young and Los Pacaminos, at the Arts Centre, on Sunday, at 7.30pm.
