A HOTELIER'S three decades of dedicated fundraising for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution are to be rewarded.
Betty Manders has played a key role in raising thousands of pounds to help run the lifeboats and now she is to receive the RNLI's certificate of thanks for long service.
Mrs Manders who, with her husband, Bernard, ran the Crown Hotel, in Helmsley, for 44 years is to receive the honour on June 22.
She and the other 11 members of the Helmsley Ladies' Lifeboat Guild run events each year for the RNLI.
