ACCLAIMED artist Ralf Broeg met a master, as he opened his first exhibition in Sunderland.
Mr Broeg, from Dusseldorf, is showing salon d'automobile, three new works inspired by his time in Sunderland, at the city's Vardy Gallery. He is the Henry Moore Foundation fellow in sculpture.
The title is awarded to an innovative young sculptor of outstanding ability and was once held by Eric Bainbridge, now professor in fine art at the University of Sunderland.
The pair have been working with fine art students at the university for the past year.
Visitors to the exhibition can watch Mr Broeg at work in the gallery, as he creates two sculptures
