A MEETING has been arranged for the residents of Thornaby to have their say on a community group.
People living in the Village Park area will discuss whether they would like the residents' association to continue.
If no one turns up for the meeting, then the association will be closed. In a bid to prevent this from happening, a public meeting will be held at the Robert Atkinson Centre, in Thorntree Road, on Monday, March 31, at 7pm.
Other items on the agenda include the proposed development of the local park, a police update and care of the Village Park area.
Alan Swales, community development officer for the Stockton Residents and Community Groups' Association, said: "Please come along to the meeting and have your say, because the more residents that attend the meeting, the better chance there is of the residents' association continuing.
"It would be an awful shame for the local community to lose the benefits that a residents' association can bring to the area concerned."
