ITALIAN guitarist Emanuel Segre will perform at Sir William Turner's Almshouses, at Kirkleatham, Redcar.
The virtuoso performer made his English debut at Wigmore Hall, in London, before returning to play in Milan. He will now head straight to the North-East for his next concert.
Mr Segre has studied under musicians including Julian Bream and John Williams, and has performed at principal concert halls across Europe and the US.
Concert organiser Peter Sotheran said: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to present Emanuel Segre. This is a real coup for the audience in east Cleveland.
Mr Sotheran said that the 17th Century chapel at the Almshouses seats 100 people. The timber-panelled walls form a natural sound box to create excellent acoustics for music, he added.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, April 2, and includes music by Bach, Albeniz and Guiliani. Tickets are £10, available on (01642) 490401.
