A NEW black comedy which is being shot in the North-East, is set to have its premier at a national film festival.
Killer Cure stars a cast of disabled actors and actresses and is being filmed at Middlesbrough General Hospital.
It is due to be screened at the fifth London Disabled Film Festival later this year.
The film is a Cleveland Arts backed Shoot Your Mouth Off programme, which runs projects involving, inspired by and relating to disabled people.
Karen Sheader, who plays Glenda in the film, said: "The old wheelchair store we are using at the hospital is a perfect set and we're really pleased to have so much support."
Hospital spokeswoman Claire Young said: "We're delighted to welcome the cast and crew of Killer Cure into the hospital.
"It's not always possible to accommodate this type of thing but, because we're gradually moving everything from here over to The James Cook University Hospital, we've been able to move things around a bit and provide this space.''
She added: "We're pleased to work with Shoot Your Mouth Off - its production crew and cast, and hope the film does well when it goes on release."
