Willington League: Willington Burn gave themselves an excellent chance of finishing the season in the top five when they only dropped two points to the visiting Sunnybrow Brown Trout. The home side had singles points from Tony Longhorne, Colin Davison, Malcolm Campbell and Sean Pardew, whilst Nigel Barker and Trevor Allchurch scored for the Trout. The Burn took all three doubles through Stephen Robinson with Colin Davison, Malcolm Campbell with Trevor Longhorne and Gordon Foster with Sean Pardew. The Burn completed a good night by winning the team game.
Hunwick Joiners Arms took advantage of the idle week for the leaders, Willington Black Horse Tavern, by winning by five points at Willington Cottles to take over the top spot by a single point. The Victoria Club are in third place, 11 points adrift of the Tavern.

Crook Ladies League: Crook Queen's Head A completed the season with their sixth whitewash victory when they beat the visiting Howden Green Tree to win the Championship by a massive 71 points. However the race for the runners-up spot is still not finished for Tow Law New Market B and Crook Jelly's Bar B have finished up with equal points. Crook Travellers Rest finished in fourth place, 23 points behind the teams sharing second place.
The leading individual scorers were Kay Lee with 132 for Willingtpon Black Horse, Norma Parkin 123 for the Queen's Head A and Gladys March 121 for Crook Belle Vue.
The next league meeting will be held at Willington Black Horse on Tuesday, March 25 at 8pm when all teams must be represented.

Weardale Ladies: Blue Bell B have a six-point lead after chasers Mill Race lost for the second week in a row.
