A RALLY car co-driver killed in a high-speed crash during a race was last night named by police.
Roy Herron, 50, of Kilwinning, near Kilmarnock, was certified dead at the scene after his Peugeot hit a tree in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, during a stage of the Borders Rally, on Saturday afternoon.
Driver Alan Doncaster, from Glasgow, was airlifted to Newcastle General Hospital with serious leg and chest injuries.
