TONY Blair was rescued after the fishing boat he was on hit a submerged object half a mile from the entrance to the River Tees on Sunday.
The Durham man - the Prime Minister's namesake called the Humber Coastguard and Teesmouth Life-boat towed the 19ft boat, Pisator, to Hartlepool Marina.
