ANYONE enjoying lunch in a busy Internet cafZ yesterday could have been forgiven for looking twice at two of their fellow diners.
Seated at one of the computers was a couple bearing an uncanny resemblance to Britain's most famous celebrity husband and wife.
However, a closer look revealed that this was not David and Victoria Beckham, but lookalikes of the darlings of the tabloids.
The Posh and Becks impersonators were in Darlington's CafZ Gulp, in Priestgate, to launch a shopping guide for the town centre. They were mixing and mingling with shoppers, and trying to find their way around the centre with the help of the compact guide.
Town centre management also launched a Darlington website, at www.darlington. towntalk.co.uk
Town centre manager Louise Payne said: "There has been much demand from the public for a shopping guide of this type and town centre management hope that this compact guide will help visitors and local shoppers to find their way around. They may even find some shops they've forgotten about."
