Chester-le-Street suffered their heaviest defeat of the season a physical encounter at East Durham in their Womens Northern League Division One.

They were dealt an early blow when neither Ashley Scott or Kelly Binns were available and lost Natalie Gutteridge early in the game. They finished the first half with ten players and were by then 3-0 down.

After a half-time reshuffle young goalkeeper Alison Beale took over from Rachael Young, who moved into defense but the academy team played neat controlled football and were always in charge. The Cestrians came out of this one without even a goal for their efforts, but no doubt will come back stronger for the experience.

This Sunday Chester entertain Darlinton RA at Moor Park (2pm). All are welcome.
