Abbey National are banking on a local football side producing another a profitable season.
Darlington Church and Friendly League side Darlington RA Youth are enjoying a tremendous year as they currently ride high in the league while they've also enjoyed success in three Cup competitions.
Aged around 17-19-years-old and playing against teams several years their senior and with much more experience, they reached the quarter finals of the prestigious County Cup, a week tomorrow they are Archibald Trophy quarter final action and tomorrow they're in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
The Darlington branch of the Abbey National, who recently handed over a cheque to Sunday League side Spraire RA, have stepped forward to kindly donate £250 to RA Youth.

Last Saturday RA Youth beat Bishopton Hoppers Transport 7-1 with Ross Wetherell (2), Graham Dodsworth and sub Carl Moss all scoring twice.
