REAL life mirrored fiction when a pub launched its own Internet caf.
Recent episodes of radio soap, The Archers, have included the introduction of computers at The Bull.
Regulars at The Blacksmiths Arms in North Cowton can pop in for a byte on Tuesdays between 11am and 3pm.
Landlady Ann Bellas said she was happy to run more sessions if there was a demand.
With up to 20 people calling in on one day, she admitted more sessions were a real possibility.
The project has been set up with the help of the Learn Direct agency.
The agency has also given barman Matthew Edmunds a new role. He has taken on the mantle of teacher and is running through some basic internet skills.
Ms Bellas said: "Most of us are beginners with computers; I learned how to use the mouse and sent my first e-mail to head office."
