A PEDESTRIAN injured by a suspected stolen car is still critical in hospital nearly three weeks after he was knocked down.
The 37-year-old suffered extensive head and leg injuries when he was in collision with a Ford Focus car as he crossed Haughton Road, Darlington, on March 6.
The unnamed man, from the North Road area of Darlington, was knocked unconscious as he walked along the road at the junction with McMullen Road.
A police spokesman confirmed that the man was still in Darlington Memorial Hospital and his condition is described as 'serious but stable.'
Durham Police's accident team are investigating the incident.
