THREE women are preparing to cycle 400km following the Nile later this year.
Elizabeth Briggs, Pam Fenna and Lyn Jameson, all from Teesside, are in training for the event, in aid of Age Concern, and are looking for sponsors to help them raise £7,500.
Mrs Briggs, from Billingham, has worked with Age Concern in Teesside for about ten years as director of operations.
For many years, she was a keen cyclist, but has not ridden for some time and says she is looking forward to the challenge.
Mrs Fenna, from Linthorpe, works at St Luke's Hospital in Middlesbrough as head occupational therapist and also sits on the board of trustees as a volunteer for Age Concern Teesside.
Mrs Jameson, from Yarm, is a technical instructor and was placed on secondment to Age Concern Teesside two years ago.
