WINNERS of the awards presented to mark the achievement of young people in the borough of Stockton have been announced.
The Stockton Mayor's Achievement Recognition Trophy Awards (Smart) were set up last year to recognise the efforts and achievements of young people.
They are organised by a panel of young people with the assistance of Stockton Borough Council's Youth Service.
The panel, drawn from schools across the borough, also chose the winners of the awards.
This year, the awards attracted more than 100 nominations.
The winners were announced at an awards night at the Baptist Tabernacle, in Stockton, on Friday night.
All the young people, aged 19 and under, were presented with certificates to mark their achievements by TFM Radio presenter Anna B.
The winners were:
* The Arts: Callum Batkin.
* Teamwork: Romanian Challenge Appeal Group.
* Community Work: Katie Brown.
* Bravery: Rebecca Kirk.
* Volunteering: Kelvin Hardwick.
* Special Needs: Phillip Ward.
* Exceptional Award: Eleanor Keld.
* Education Achievement: Christopher Tomkinson.
* Educational Effort: Natasha Pogson.
* Sport: Richard Kitty.
