A NEWLY installed ramp will provide easier access for Richmond's disabled cricket fans.
Work on the ramp, funded by a £4,300 Yorventure grant, goes ahead next month as the Richmondshire club's three adult and five junior teams limber up for the beginning of the season.
The cash will also provide fencing and landscaping at the club on the corner of Victoria Road and Hurgill Road.
Geoff Thorpe, who oversees the cricket ground, said: "Some of our regular spectators are disabled. The improved access will make it easier for them to cheer on the team, as well as making the club accessible to anybody visiting Richmond who wants to watch a cricket match."
