TO celebrate the centenary of All Saints' Church, Eaglescliffe, a thanksgiving service is being held by the Bishop of Jarrow, the Right Reverend John Pritchard, on Sunday, at 10am.
Centenary banners will be presented and the service will be followed by a shared lunch. A centenary display will also be in place at the church, recording its history and that of the parish during the past 100 years.
VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT: Volunteers are being sought to look after toddlers. Home-Start Teesside would like to hear from anyone who can spare a few hours a week to support families with young children. Expenses will be paid. For details, call (01642) 501811.
FAIR DAY: An antiques and collectors fair is being held at the Rainbow Leisure Centre, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, on Sunday, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is 70p for adults and 60p for pensioners. Free entry for accompanied children. Dealers will be displaying jewellery, silver, ceramics and coins. Refreshments will be served all day.
NORTON WALK: The Norton Heritage group is holding a walk around Norton on Sunday, April 6. The walk will begin from St Mary's Church, on the village green, at 2pm. It is expected to last about two hours.
HEARING GROUP: Langbaurgh Hearing Impaired Group is looking for new members. Anyone interested in joining the group should attend one of the weekly meetings at Westmoreland Road Community Centre, near The Lakes Social Club, in Redcar. TOWN CLOCK: Friends of Redcar Town Clock will be running a tombola and book stall in Redcar High Street on Saturday, from 10am onwards.
