FIVE people appeared in court again yesterday accused of money laundering.
Darlington businesswoman Mary Elizabeth Blair, 53, of Summerhouse Grove, is accused of stealing more than £200,000 from PMB motors and South Cleveland Garages.
Beverley and Edward Grimes, 42 and 47, of Bousfield Crescent, Newton Aycliffe, have both denied obtaining £28,950 worth of property by deception and Christopher Grimes, 24, also of Bousfield Crescent, is charged with obtaining property to the value of £485,145.
Graham Bartlett, 36, of Chapelhope Close, Darlington, also pleaded not guilty to obtaining property by deception to the value of £17,200.
They appeared before South Durham Magistrates Court in Darlington, where it was decided to commit the case to Teesside Crown Court on April 28. All five were remanded on unconditional bail.
