ROXY Music star Bryan Ferry may yet play a gig in his native North-East - despite calling off a show on Tuesday with less than an hour to go.
Fans from all over the country who travelled to see the Wearside-born singer were devastated when they arrived at Middlesbrough Town Hall to learn he had cancelled due to a sore throat.
Tonight's concert in Glasgow has also been cancelled, but organisers are hoping they can announce new dates for gigs so fans will still be able to see the star perform.
A message on his website yesterday said: "We regret to announce Bryan is unwell. Our apologies go to everyone expecting to see the show."
Any of the 1,352 fans who want a refund for their £28 ticket for the Middlesbrough show should call the town hall box office on (01642) 232 014.
Town hall manager Jean Hewitt said: "Although the situation was out of our control, we extend our apologies to all of the disappointed fans.
"If a concert is rescheduled, they will most likely be able to use their original tickets and will have the same seat."
